Pros

Lovely office, amenities and coffee

Cons

- Low remuneration with minimal increase, if any - Expectation to work long hours and unrealistic workloads - Minimal to no support from management to complete work - Sales team and management will constantly undermine you, throw you under the bus to brokers and other management staff with the expectation to take it like a champ - Refusal from upper management to listen to the needs of employees and act on their promises - Incredibly high turnover with some teams turning over 100% of staff within 1-2 years (speaks for itself) - Ancient and unworkable systems - No support from management under tough circumstances from brokers and no peer support in terms of workload - Promotions awarded to friends of managers, not those who are deserving - Don't expect your manager to fight for you or support you when mistreated

Pros

Global reach. Multi Line Experience. Financial stability.

Cons

Company is hyper focused on growth while overworking staff. Hemorrhaging talent weekly and not replacing them leaving those behind to pick up the slack and burn out. Hundreds have gone on medical leave due to stress at all levels of the claim org, Comany has not invested in technology leaving a lot of time consuming manual processes, multiple claims systems, and cumbersome claims experiences for customers. The company has chosen multiple restructuring instead of replacing senior leaders who have quit and this has created holes in oversight in some areas and duplication of efforts in other areas. The company praises claim staff for hard work during a record busy CAT season in one breath then says they cant afford to give fair merit increases because of CAT activity in the next breath. Then the company turns around and offers Hartford billions to buy them. The message? Employee investment and training is not a priority only growth is.

Pros

- 4 free therapy sessions because you will need them - this place teaches you how to manage time and stress. Silver lining is that you can handle anything if you can last here; but it’s not for everybody.

Cons

- long hours, poor communication, poor management, poor organizational structure, poor authority structure, never ending work (10+ hours a day minimum then weekends, extremely inefficient use of your time, which was not evident when I accepted the job) - no sense of camaraderie, no personal connections - stereotypical toxic culture - they will use you and have no regard for who you are as a person. You can leave tomorrow and they will not care, they will only care about themselves & how they can push more work to everyone else. - PURPOSELY understaff to control you more and micromanage
