Pros

Salary was commensurate with the industry in the area.

Cons

Management does not know what they are doing. They should be made to work the desk with the same guidelines with the same expectations and see if they can keep up.

Pros

Good employees (below the level of senior leadership). Other than that, it's uncertain since things are in flux after the acquisition by ACE Insurance. Many of the good things about Chubb started going away immediately after the takeover.

Cons

Senior management cares more now about the bottom line, how much is the stock worth, than the customers and the employees. It's all about doing what's the cheapest. Outsourcing of work is the strategy. ACE kept the Chubb name after the acquisition in order to take advantage of Chubb's reputation as a high-end insurer with great customer service. But they're slowly killing that reputation.

Pros

competitive salary for auto claims liability adjusters... at least for the veteran staff it was, it was not for new hires

Cons

micro management, no support against agents or clients, high case load, constant reminder that someone else could be hired at a lower salary, so you should "just be happy you have a job"
