Pros

Low stress, decent pay. Easy to blend in and get complacent

Cons

Bad rep amongst other firms, and rightly so. Not the brightest people I've worked with.

Pros

Large bank Exposure Recognition if you move to a different bank Potential for professional growth(if you have a nice boss)

Cons

Late working hours - they pushed the car service to 10 PM so if we stay until 9 you're on your own. Poor benefits (poor array of choices in terms of medical)

Pros

I was a duel employee of Smith Barney and Citibank. Good base salary and had my own office...

Cons

Zero communication between departments. The company is too big to handle itself. As the write downs were taking place upper management assured us everything was fine and that our department "MyFi" was in great shape and growing. Its now defunct and Smith Barney is owned by Morgan Stanley. Someone wasn't telling the truth.
