Good culture with great people

Pros

- Talented people to work with who are driven and fun to work with (this is probably the main reason why people stay at Tigerspike) - Supportive local management team -Flexible work hours/ work from home policy -Professional/personal budget (before COVID, but now is unavailable until who knows when) -Some good office culture/perks (bootcamp, Friday lunches, Friday drinks etc) but budget cuts have started making these less quality - Great work life balance

Cons

- Culture has been going downhill and is being taken over by Concentrix (new CEO/Global mgt has no desire to protect Tigerspike culture) - Cutting of costs for everything bringing down employee morale (even small things like employee biscuits) - Engineers being underpaid - No desire to retain the talented employees or the people who make the biggest contributions to Tigerspike - Path progression/support for progression is not a priority for global management -No power is given to local management when they know the office/employees the best. Local management is unable to make decisions due to global management control. Global management calls the shots, local management is then informed after) - No priority to make sure we have sufficient tools to perform our jobs (probably due to budget cuts) -Too centred we around Sydney office -Employees feel quite far removed from global management team and do not feel like they listen to any feedback -Not too much focus on innovation -Barely put in a process for pay reviews (one did not exist before), however this was not followed through due to COVID -Processes internally are quite slow

Pros

I started my career as a phone Advisor. I came to work each day that I was scheduled and I did my best. I received support, encouragement and opportunities. I am in leadership today and love our culture above all else. I feel like I have community here. I admire how the company supports its people and promotes from within. I encourage others who are looking for a career to look at the size and footprint of the company, then just get their foot in the door to show what they're made of.

Cons

I don't have any cons. Nowhere is perfect of course but Concentrix proactively seeks out opportunities for improvement and implements solutions. My advice to avoid cons is to make sure you understand the work you're signing up for.

Tigerspike lost his way

Pros

Friendly environment, good office location with many food options nearby, yearly professional development budget. Flexible work from home policy.

Cons

Lower than average salary, even if the management will try to convince you of the opposite. 90% of employees complain about it all the time. Few benefits which aren’t really that great. Boring projects, almost zero innovation. The office always lacks of something (coffee, tissues, toilet paper). No snack or meal provided with the exception of Friday.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. We really work hard to show our people how much they are valued, so I'm sorry that you have not felt this yourself. We're continually striving to get the right balance of salary, benefits and everything else that goes into making the working culture great at Tigerspike, and it's good to understand where we haven't hit the mark. We'll continue to learn and get better at this. Personally I find, and I believe most of our team finds the clients and the projects that we work on really challenging, rewarding and often innovative, as demonstrated by us winning several innovation awards last year. We're also really proud of our Friday lunches and the opportunity it gives the team to socialise and bond. Whilst you're right that we don't do this every day of the week, this is part of us trying to get the balance right for the teams and I'm not sure that doing these every day would have the same impact.
