Pros

Peers, vacation time, agents, bonus chances, career growth

Cons

Morale. Been here a few years now. Saw the good change, compared to what coaches said it used to be like. Recently, we got reprimanded because of a process all of us thought was right. We did not get formal training on the process when we became supervisors. There is no official place for us to access these procedures. When corp. found out, we took the hit for it, instead of those that should have. That was let down #1. Let down #2 was when we were in Lead Training. One of our east coast hr reps was seen making a 15 year supervisor cry. This rep muddled off rudeness and continued to rip morale apart. Then the rep was heard mumbling curse words and sighs when certain people spoke. Only way I could describe it was like mean girls club.

Pros

-Free TV (not really that great) -No one will ask why you left in future interviews in the Denver area. They always ask about the most horrible thing they did to you or coworkers.

Cons

-$12000 Health Insurance Deductible -Extremely Small HSA Contribution -Poor 401k Match -Hostile Work Environment -Extremely Poor Management -Badge Reports For All Employees (Including Senior Salaried Employees) The list really goes on forever. If you enjoy getting yelled at or being treated in extremely hostile or illegal ways, you should definitely work here. I came into the company with high hopes and a previous high performer, but it doesn't matter how fantastic your final product is here. You will be berated, humiliated, abused, harassed, yelled at, and generally treated like trash. There's a reason everyone walks around like a zombie here. KEEP IN MIND, Dish was rated as the worst company to work for in North America for three years in a row. The environment has not changed, but the amount of emails coming from senior management to submit 5 star reviews to Glassdoor has. HR and Recruitment has a policy of submitting 4 and 5 star reviews here as well for positions they can't fill (for obvious reasons). Just as a very serious and frank warning of where many of the positive reviews come from having worked in a senior role in the corporate office.

Pros

p4p. Dish's bonus program. If your metrics are high enough, you will get a certain amount of your paycheck (depends on the metrics - from 5% up to 50%) as an added bonus.

Cons

Absolutely terrible place to work. Aside from being yelled at by angry customers all day, you will deal with ridiculous favoritism, wrongful termination (happened to many of my friends who were coworkers) sexism, racism, on and on. Everything you do not want in a work environment, you are guaranteed to find at Dish.
