Pros

They paid me. I guess I need a 10 word minimum

Cons

I don’t have much to add to the other negative reviews here. It takes a lot to quit a job during a pandemic knowing you won’t another for months. The 6 months I spent with this company resulting in mental trauma that is still effecting me at my new job.

Pros

During the pandemic, Dish was able to offer work from home employment. This was obviously a great decision for people who believe in science. They supplied a $250 computer set up that they claim is worth $1000. (Can literally be found for $250 on Amazon/Best Buy).

Cons

This is hands down one of the worst companies out there when it comes to running/managing a sales department. Be prepared for subpar training, a direct manager that claims to be a sales guru with absolutely ZERO sales experience, and a middle management team that is laughable at best. This is the only sales position out there where your close rate can affect your paycheck. Yes, you read that right. If you have a FANTASTIC week and one very bad day, that bad day will affect your check. I've seen my paycheck go from $1100 a week to $300, because of one day. Your sales are not guaranteed. Your installs are not guaranteed. If you have a bad day or two, just write the week off. Be prepared to try and sell one of the most outdated and backwards products out there. Your customer wants live sports? Dish carries them in maybe 3-4 markets in the entire country. Your customer wants all the NFL games? Nice. DirecTV has that, Dish doesn't. Your job is to sell the worst TV service in America. And here's the best part. Dish does not do internet. Dish does NOT have an internet service. They PARTNER with internet companies who provide internet service in some areas. Yet they advertise "high speed internet" everywhere they provide TV. So 40% of your calls will be for internet only and you will be berated for not being able to sell hughesnet (horrible internet service that isn't worth $10 priced at $80/month minimum) to customers who were promised high speed internet. And guess what?? Every internet call goes against your close rate. So if you can't provide internet to a customer who is focused on internet (most calls), you're out of luck. Good luck selling them on TV. Oh yeah, did I mention management has no idea what they're doing? It's truly pathetic to watch them scramble to answer your questions because none of them know the answers to anything. Avoid this company at all costs. I spent 4 months here. The paycheck was was ok for a work at home gig. After that, I left. Oh yeah, you don't get a company e-mail. Adult job, right? And the CEO said "5G is a scam." Sounds like a company of the future, right?
