The reviews are true, except for the 4's and 5's created by HR for recruiting
Pros
- lots of experience and cross training due to revolving door of employees - Most managers hate the ones above them, so there are some good first line managers that watch out for their people - Reasonable time off as long as you don't plan on being gone more than a few days at a time - I had a cool boss so I was treated pretty well, but had to watch the train wrecks around me
Cons
- Initial offer was laughable. They tried to offer what I had asked for when applying for a job 6 years ago, and I had to justify why they should even match my previous salary. - Benefits are horrible, hope your spouse has a better plan - Work from home? No. Never. If it's a BLIZZARD is expected you will get a "be prepared" email from HR. Their answer to avoid danger on the roads is to stay at hotel by the office. - Charlie sticks his head into way too many meetings and doesn't trust his employees. That's why you hire experts. - They are proud of never having layoffs. Instead they do mass firings and make up a performance number that everyone is supposed to hit (changes with each firing). This way they don't pay unemployment.
