Pros

In Texas dish will start you a few cents above minimum but within a year or two you could be making a few dollars more per hour if apply and are picked for a business ops.

Cons

There are really to many reasons to list not to work here, so I'll start with the most important. The medical insurance is horrible they pick the cheapest plan they can to offer there emplyees cost wise on there part. The insurance literally will not pay anything until you hit a 3000 dollar deductible all while still deducting priemiums biweeky from my pay check. Job security is completely out the door, dishnetwork practically threatens you to preform or you will be termed. The attrition rate has to be one of the worst in the country. They like to recruit high school students before they get any other type of job experience. This way they don't realize just how bad dish is because they have nothing to compare it to. They will use the best years of your life and spit you out when you can no longer preform as you get older. I cannot and will not ever recommend anybody to work for dish until they change there ways

Pros

Time goes very quickly while working. The training program is not bad though some of the information you learn will be outdated by the time you actually get to work the phones. Most of the people have been promoted from within so you have a good chance of working with/for someone who can relate to issues you have with customers or their satellite systems.

Cons

Getting time off can be difficult due to the fact that call centers are required to have a certain number of hours scheduled for each shift. The management teams don't seem to have much contact with the agents...I know of one manager who never even bothered to introduce himself to his agents until he had been in position for well over a month. Mandatory overtime is common which can be OK but it can also be a drag when it continues day after day, week after week. Full timers should be aware that the company demands that you subordinate your entire personal life to work commitments.

Pros

Dish has a excellent bonus payout(IF YOU CAN EVER REACH IT) and is not a bad place to work..

Cons

Bonus structure is set at a rediculous level to reach, and they have no sick days you have to schedule your sick day as paid time off and that is if the day is available.. not a good place for someone with young children on their own.
