The company’s interest is to get in the US market; therefore, they over promise to the customer at the expense of the employee. They breach employment contracts and brake state/federal employment laws. The salary contract is to work 50 hrs. per week. Verbally, it was agreed that if Saturday work was required -10 hrs.- the person will get a day off as compensation. Now, they force the employee to work scheduled Saturday’s with no day off and no pay for these extra 10 hrs.
Terrible management is an understatement. The project manager has no people skills. He is a liar and verbally abusive. There are no qualms in demeaning people in front of their peers for no valid reason(s). Hypocrisy at its max. For the customer, safety is the number one priority yet computer ergonomics and office safety is non-existent. The open office is set up in a construction zone in which cut saws, impact drills, etc. are operated in a daily and frequent basis; therefore, noise is a real health problem. You are forced to work on computers that are setup in pick nick table/chairs that a dollar store will be proud to sell you. Concerns about employee hearing loss, carpal tunnel, and/or muscle skeletal issues are not their problem.
Since the company is Irish based, there is a good Irish representation; therefore, the verbal usage of F-bombs and female genital words are just about part of every sentence…. A very unprofessional environment.
