Pros

The benefits were good, but could NEVER out way the stress level. Fellow employees are good, made some great lasting friendship.

Cons

The company does not respect employees who have spent their life building the company up to where it was. Hard work, dedication and experience is not rewarded. Chances for advancement are very slim without a masters degree. Very stagnant to improve oneself. With the economy the way it is today and jobs hard to come by employees are stuck and will have to take the unfairness until the economy changes. Then they will lose the employees that are working there for a paycheck and not because of loyalty to company. They seem to by interested in hiring temps to fill al the full-time positins they have let go. Guess it saves them money and they don't have to pay benifits.

Pros

None to date. Complete downgrade compared to most companies. I guess you could say "its better than nothing, then again, maybe not.

Cons

Weeks after the acquisition of Beckman Coulter, they announced an 8% reduction of all employees. Even departments that are already low on personnel are losing bodies. Our benefits were cut nearly in half and the Danaher prefered medical plan is outright an insult. United Health Care, for those of you familiar with United, I dont have to explain any more. Its obvious that Danahers intent is to squeeze Beckman Coulter for every drop its worth and do it in a very unappreciated manner. It s just a matter of time before they weed out the best employees and are left with people of the lowest morale. Within a few years the superb quality of Beckman Coulter products will be an old memory, and so will the family atmospere that filled most of our offices.

Pros

Danaher runs a tight, financially strong operation. The DBS playbook is time-tested, and the company continues to grow through strategic acquisitions.

Cons

For all the talk about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Danaher’s support often feels limited to a narrow spectrum. If you’re not Black or White, you’re often invisible in the system—especially when you challenge norms or drive bold change. A respected Brown leader recently leading breakthrough innovation and enterprise transformation was pushed out, despite delivering results, due to internal politics. Meanwhile, an equally competent white co-leader, working alongside with him on the same initiative got promoted; a troubling inconsistency that many have quietly noticed. DEI loses its meaning if it doesn’t extend to all voices and backgrounds.
