Pros
- Brand recognition - Strong SOPs - Part of the Hilton family of hotels which is a big bonus
Cons
I did not work for Doubletree directly, few do at the property level. My property was owned by a franchisee and managed by a hotel management company. The only "con" I have for Doubletree itself is many times the corporate office employees have never worked at a property before or it has been a long time so they are not/no longer in touch with realities or property day-to- day life. For example, during a "cookie caravan" marketing promotion several recent grads who worked for the marketing department came to Atlanta for a marketing blitz in Downtown Atlanta. They were asking us to ask questions, promote the brand, etc. in a way that wasn't truly in touch with what happens at a property and was also inappropriate for the daytime downtown demographic wanting to get cookies which was primarily homeless.
