Pros

If you put in really hard work, might get recognised. But no guarantee. Hours are really long and a lot of admin tasks

Cons

Colleagues are ready to backstab anytime. The culture is difficult for a new comer to blend in. Ppl are unwilling to help unless there's benefit to them.

Pros

Friendly, intelligent coworkers, large institutional infrastructure, possibility to move up ranks

Cons

Long hours (70-80+ hr. weeks not uncommon), seem to be underpaid for the work you are doing, some inexperienced mid-level managers, not much training or tutoring - it's sink or swim, culture seemed kind of dead, some employees especially managers and up come from very non-elite schools and you wonder how they got in

Pros

Benefits are nice. Big name on a resume.

Cons

Everything else. There is no culture, the "people" everyone speaks of are few and far between, the hours are insane, the pay is low for the amount of work you're required to do (no bonuses like the other Big 4), incredibly inefficient obsessing over teams budgets but then being forced to work longer hours. The list goes on and on.
