Pros

A decent place to work with a clear progression path if you perform well. Compensation is relatively competitive compared to peers.

Cons

As with almost all accounting firms, work-life balance is a very low priority in the firm. Working during weekends is to be expected.

Pros

People at Ernst & Young are generally collegial and willing to work across practices; this is a matter of importance since most large projects are staffed across practices. Despite its size, EY is a surprisingly entrepreneurial place where even junior level employees are encouraged to sell and claim revenue.

Cons

Promotion is very tenure-based in some divisions of the firm; as such, you will find a diverse cross section of talent at each level.
