Pros

US-based product company Thriving software product Preaches Work life balance Many travel opportunities Small closely knit community of employees Gearing towards SAAS , cloud and new tech stack

Cons

Though the company itself is US, the indianness in managers is not all lost and so comes with : micro management unethical behaviour of managers such as employees getting shouted at for not showing up in office Not all what is preached is followed such as employees are expected to WFO whereas not all follow the same in including the shouting managers Tenured employees who become managers require anger management and behavioural training. It is not just one off a case. Small company in Bangalore so every one knows everyone so can ignite wild fire even with smallest bad expressions or experience Lots of gaps and possess a high scope to improve

Pros

There are some great people that work here and Ellucian products are the industry standard.

Cons

Bonuses are scarce and recipients need to play the hunger games to receive one. Annual raises are minimal, 3% on average. Raises for promotions need to be given by taking away from others (average) annual 3% increase. Jobs are being outsourced to other countries. There is minimal room for advancement.

Thanks for your review. We couldn’t agree with you more about our amazing people and we, too, are proud of our industry leading solutions! While we appreciate the Hunger games book/movie series, it is certainly not how we approach our compensation philosophy. Our job architecture framework and merit planning process is thoughtfully designed to provide the structure & external/internal market insights to promote fair, equitable pay practices while also providing the flexibility to foster a pay for performance environment. That same philosophy, coupled with key company performance KPIs, applies to our bonus eligible employees. (Note, bonuses have been paid out every year under our current ownership structure) As it relates to the state of our employee engagement, while there are always opportunities to improve, we were very happy to see an 87% engagement rate with over 90% participation in our mid-year survey. Additionally, 21% of our total global hires YTD have come internally which represents a 33% increase from this time last year ~ which we are encouraged by since we launched a new mobility program at the end of 2023 to provide greater transparency & support for our employees to explore opportunities across the organization. We’d be happy to discuss further to understand your perspective and encourage you to reach out to your HRBP.
