Enough Promises!

Pros

Mission - Customers - Colleagues

Cons

Executive Leadership has been making promises to customers and employees for years now. They have even asked folks to use Glassdoor to promote how great everything is. Don't believe everything you read. Backfilling many, many positions cleared to sell the company last year, is NOT this huge growth statement being promoted.

Our culture and the open, honest and transparent way in which we communicate are several of our strengths according to the consistent feedback from our employees. Ellucian’s employee engagement and experience scores remain among the highest anywhere too. We are the market leader in education technology and we are growing. And our sponsors Blackstone and Vista, are investing in our company – in our employees, products and services - to accelerate our growth and expand globally. We serve higher education and enable student success. People First, Customer First and Cloud First aren’t just slogans, they are the values that we live by every day.

Pros

Benefits are OK but need a major overhaul when looking at other companies in the market

Cons

Latest CHRO has lost focus on the people Management has been pushing engineers incredibly hard since we were acquired by a different equity firm last year; to the point of teams of senior engineers are approaching burnout. Benefits haven't kept pace with the remote landscape. I can jump to a larger number of companies thanks to remote work, they offer far better benefits. Salaries are not competitive with the market, which is now the remote market.

We are sorry that your experience was different from the vast majority of our employees. In our most recent employee engagement survey nearly 90% of our more than 3,000 global colleagues said they would recommend Ellucian as a “Great Place To Work” – and our People First culture is actually one of the primary reasons. As a market leading edtech company whose mission is to change the world through higher education and student success, we attract talented individuals who are passionate about our purpose and who do indeed work very hard together as a community. Our community constantly reinforces and celebrates our People First culture by prioritizing wellness with an array of market leading benefits and PTO policies. We also offer competitive compensation and maximum flexibility for employees to work from anywhere. Many of our employees actually voluntarily choose to come into an office part-time to collaborate their teams, connect with colleagues, enjoy the office amenities, or just to enjoy a change of pace and routine. Our People First culture, and an exciting mission backed two of the biggest PE firms in the world, are why we continue to grow, attract and retain top talent. Thank you for your contributions and we do wish you good health and success wherever your career takes you next.
