Pros

Management actively seeks to promote from within. Everyday staff is generally unproblematic and kind.

Cons

INCOMPETENT. Management tolerates employees refusing to do their jobs and lies when they make mistakes. Managers there have: given wrong information and then complained vehemently about the situation pointing the finger at subordinates (at least 3 separate times); flatly refused to provide information/documents for subordinates to execute tasks (multiple instances); defended subordinates explicitly refusing to perform rudimentary tasks and allowed them to refuse learning the most basic tasks; demanded that information from a screenshot be typed out form them rather than simply enlarging the image; spoken to upper management that someone else was looking for a different job as retaliation when someone didn't sleep with them; used several and recurrent insults to demean kitchen staff, etc. Staff members routinely refuse to carry out everyday work to allow for the basic functioning of the building, whether clerical or building-related. MANAGERS actively provoke other staff, openly refuse to execute building policy or to ensure that basic procedures are honored and complain after refusing to follow through on support functions that are part of their job. "What do/did you think was going to happen?" was the response to shooting of a woman who refused sex to a man (manager). Statements about going after drunken women are made openly. This is not an appropriate work environment (at 4300 Military Rd). Very little learning is possible because management refuses to train staff to perform low-level tasks and process generates a snarky reply. Further, you'll simply grow tired of a management group that complains about guests praying in a back area and about staff taking leave due to injury. They also have budget issues, so it's hard to have job security. This is a place to gain a short stint of experience and push on.

The manager is sexist and get up set if you don’t flirt or talk to him.

Pros

Embassy Suites is a crowd pleaser. Free breakfast and two room suites for a good rate.

Cons

Can be too many sports teams and partying type guests on weekends.
