Is this your company?

Don't work here. Before calling themselves a human rights organization they should be aware what human rights is! - Field Representative Amnesty International Employee Review

Pros

People SEEM to care. You feel good about the idea of helping others. At first you feel welcomed and like you can make a change, which is not really the case.

Cons

Everything. The leader of my team herself was two faced. She was always late, talked about others behind their back and wasn't professional with her judgements at all. Her energy was clearly of jealousy, I assume she felt threatened when there's a chance of others being better than her. So she manipulates management, she's been there long enough to gain their trust. Most employees on my team had been there no longer than four weeks. Management sucks, leaders suck and contributions aren't fairly distributed. You pay out of your own pocket for transport everywhere in NYC while this nonprofit organization's ceo makes 210k a year.

Pros

It was great. Working with mission-driven individuals is always a great motivator. Everyone was pleasant to work with.

Cons

None. Everything that was stated in the JD is what I got and experienced.
