Pros
Some good exciting projects while the work was going. Met some good people. Not much else really....
Cons
There seemed to be an every man for himself protectionist attitude. Its not what you know but who you can suck up too that gets one places (advancement, pay rise, job safe etc) in my experience with Aurecon. Heavy focus on old boys club with their favourite pets by senior management. The rest are expendable and couldn't really care what happens to them. Lack of effective communication, inspiration and direction by management. The company also seems to be overly bloated by bureaucratic procedures and endless form filling out. Career advancement seems to be merely a box ticking exercise. Employees wishes in regards to experience and career advancement take a back seat. Extremely top heavy management structure. Expectations on staff to "put in the big ones" but no gratitude or reward for doing so. To be fair alot of these cons are experienced at other companies so not unique to Aurecon. Aurecon just seemed to be totally accepting of these short comings and unapologetic about it
