Compensation - despite holding a Bachelor of Science, having over two years of work experience, and working towards a Master’s degree, my compensation was comparable to that of a fast food worker. This left me feeling that my qualifications and contributions were undervalued.
Commute to Oakland - The firm’s lack of transparency about the office renovations and the subsequent move to Oakland led to an unexpectedly longer commute, which was nearly twice as long as my previous one. As someone living further south, I would not have committed to a 1.5-hour commute had I been given the full picture.
Strict In-Office - I found the requirement to be in the office five days a week somewhat unfair, especially since most people were on a hybrid schedule. Many of my team members were often absent on Mondays or Fridays, making the rigid policy feel unnecessary.
No Return Offers - No indication of return offers for interns, and it seemed there was little effort to maintain any relationship post-internship.
