      Pros

      Work experience in Refining and Petrochemical industries. UOP provides recent graduates the opportunity to grow quickly by working in research and development and the technical service department. The experience gained is highly sought by our customers and competitors.

      Cons

      Highly political environment. Honeywell purchase creating additional stress. Currently, UOP is very busy and not always focused on meeting expectations of the employees and customers.

      Pros

      My immediate work environment is good. I’ve been able to get certifications paid for by the company. Band 3 benefits are good.

      Cons

      No internal promotion at all, even for those who are qualified and ready. The company is so averse to spending money that your career can stall here when you first start out. My skip level doesn’t seem to actually know what I do on a day to day basis. The leadership structure is constantly changing to the point where I don’t even pay attention to the announcement emails anymore.
