Pros
- Working with incredibly talented people and getting first hand experience with RCT and how field research is done. - Provided with a lot of autonomy and ability to take on many hats and learn a diverse set of skills
Cons
- The quality of your experience will largely be determined by your PA, and not all PAs are created equal. Definitely spend time researching your prospective PA - I am now a Data Scientist, and although I programmed a lot during my time as a Research Associate, most companies did not perceive that as valid coding experience and it was hard to my application past the resume review stage
