Overall worthwhile experience, but exploitative of international staff - Managing Director Innovations for Poverty Action Employee Review

Too many to list overall, but the global leadership is detached from local government and what is needed on the ground. That's the simplest way to put it. Rather than shifting power towards countries and empowering them with data and capacity addition as needed, they shift power towards global academics who are mostly interested in their own heirarchical struggles in academia, are under-funded, and don't have much of an understanding of long-term growth and change in countries.
