Pros

Opportunity for growth. Good salaries and pay. Good co-workers. Good benefits.

Cons

Upper Management is completely disconnected from the reality of what happens in the customer-facing operations. Their initiatives are seldom, if ever based on actual research, mostly just "hunches" and beliefs by people who have worked 30+ years in JCI but have no idea of the business today, nor intention of adapting to changes themselves. Very disorganized. Departments compete with one another and focus a lot of their efforts into being able to point the finger somewhere else instead of on being productive. Sadly, this is a product of the inconsistent and out-of-touch requests from upper management. Duplication of efforts is rampant. Be ready to work on the same initiative or project 3-5 teams, lead by different people and/or groups (sometimes with partially the same people!) multiple times to accommodate justifying their position or project. Currently focused on making some areas of the business call customers in mass, for no other reason other than to make calls, despite data showing it has a negative correlation. You will likely NEVER receive a proper 1:1 feedback from upper management. They simply have no idea what is going on and are not interested in finding out.

Pros

Decent pay, good PTO and benefits

Cons

Everything else. ZERO training. They hand you a laptop (which is garbage) and say good luck. There is no "team." Everyone is on their own. The senior techs all reached their peak 20 years ago and don't even know what BACnet is. The bureaucracy is unbearable. Ordering a simple part is nearly impossible. There are so many apps you have to check in on everyday and they care more about those metrics than they care about the service their customers are receiving. If you want to get your butt kicked everyday with zero support at a company that specializes in taking advantage of their customers, this is the job for you.
