Pros

Great field technicians. Good equipment/tools.

Cons

Corporate masters have no idea what we do. They make demands that make our job more difficult than need be. Constantly changing and adding more bad software/apps that often dont work as intended. You will be responsible for your own HR issues, there are deadlines for benefits. You had better keep track of all that, no one will remind you. Tools, materials, and vehicles are often difficult to obtain due to the company being on credit hold.

Decent pay, good PTO and benefits

Cons

Everything else. ZERO training. They hand you a laptop (which is garbage) and say good luck. There is no "team." Everyone is on their own. The senior techs all reached their peak 20 years ago and don't even know what BACnet is. The bureaucracy is unbearable. Ordering a simple part is nearly impossible. There are so many apps you have to check in on everyday and they care more about those metrics than they care about the service their customers are receiving. If you want to get your butt kicked everyday with zero support at a company that specializes in taking advantage of their customers, this is the job for you.
