      Good work / life balance Able to work from home as needed

      Cons

      Managers only able to give a promotion to 1 employee per year, even with large departments. Seems favorites only get selected, not the ones who deserve it. Politics can hurt you, not government politics, but the in house politics. You rub the wrong person outside your department the wrong way, and your going to go downhill in your position. Need bigger raises. Constant layoffs each year just to please the shareholders, then rehire for the positions they just laid off. Person who gets laid off could be at the company for a year or 30 years.

      Decent pay, good PTO and benefits

      Everything else. ZERO training. They hand you a laptop (which is garbage) and say good luck. There is no "team." Everyone is on their own. The senior techs all reached their peak 20 years ago and don't even know what BACnet is. The bureaucracy is unbearable. Ordering a simple part is nearly impossible. There are so many apps you have to check in on everyday and they care more about those metrics than they care about the service their customers are receiving. If you want to get your butt kicked everyday with zero support at a company that specializes in taking advantage of their customers, this is the job for you.
