Pros

Just like others, they offer salaries.

Cons

There are so many fallacies with this firm. It’s family business not a multinational firm. There are no HR policies rather discriminating HR policies. Not a professional work environment. If you are a relative of the leaders then you have all chances of growing in this firm because: - You don't have to be qualified to grow. - No need to have desired skill sets to grow. - No need to work for long hours. - Year on year have 'exceptional performance rating' and every year a promotion + bonus. - Training/ conferences to Europe are like honeymoon trips. There are clear discriminating HR policies in the organization. Many qualified and good people left KPMG Kuwait because growth was limited to sons/relatives of the partners and their favorites.

Pros

You get to work with an awesome, highly resilient group of local peers in the advisory practice. The KPMG brand still holds value, but the internal team dynamics have become incredibly fractured.

Cons

We have outsourced 80%+ of our Risk Advisory work, leaving onshore seniors with massive gaps in their experience. As a manager, I am stuck doing senior-level work because I typically have only one or zero local seniors or associates on my teams. The best leaders have already resigned because this model prevents actual management and mentoring. Also, it might take you 30+ years to become partner in Risk Advisory, if at all.
