Pros

- Exposure to various industry and projects - Multinational firm with a many foreigners / Asian speaking native English

Cons

- Serious OT and seems it is a norm to the people working here. If you want work-life balance, this is not the place for you. - Performance evaluation system is terrible. Lots of politics involved. If you want to get promotion/ get good grade (linked to your salary adjustment/ bonus) in performance review, you need to be well-exposed to internal senior management staff. Performance is nothing related to the quality of actual deliverables / hardwork you have done to client in projects. - Reporting line is unclear. Partners / directors can find you to work and I don't think there is room for negotiation for most of the cases. Because they will simply check on system to see if you are booked or not. However, sometimes your booking cannot be shown in system as project does not have enough budget. Therefore, you end up being "available" due to this reason.

Pros

It might sound cliche but the Pro for me is the people that I work with. I'm lucky enough to be staffed in a team with great leadership. Managers are actually willing to coach junior members and be a real mentor. I very much appreciate their efforts.

Cons

Long hours and office politics. This is pretty basic and obvious for any public accounting firms. Every time a quarter end, year end, or a special filing is going out, you can expect 10-14 hour days. It might be fine in your early career but it gets really tiring after a few years.
