Pros

Collegues (at your level) being nice is the one and only reason anyone will work here. Thats it. Go to the cons now :)

Cons

Salary progression is horrible, hardly any exposure to partners, many insecure managers with complexes who want to micromanage every part of your life, work hours grind your soul down and take an insane toll on your mental health (constant email reminders to make sure you are looking out for your mental health though lmao), depressed and overworked staff, talent does not stay and leaves asap often during the ACA program going onto something much better, the ACA itself is just wrote learning concepts and repeating questions until you get it which means no imaginiation is needed! No problem solving! Just a good memory thats all! The qualification is for those who refuse to actually use their minds - I and many others who take this qualification have lost IQ points since starting, many many many braincells have died along the way. Permanent brain damage I'm sure but we'll see if I collapse soon enough. You are truly meaningless in the organisation if you are not a partner - a cog in the machine if you a will, a number with no face, an indispensible instrument. You are not special here - an above average 12 year old can very comforatably do this mundane job. I'm pretty sure thats not everything but its enough to get the gist. If you're still here I mourn for you. If you got out I envy you. If you actually want to come here then I pity you. Bottom line / TLDR: If you hate yourself and your future then work here. Its where intelligent souls come to die. :l

Pros

You get to work with an awesome, highly resilient group of local peers in the advisory practice. The KPMG brand still holds value, but the internal team dynamics have become incredibly fractured.

Cons

We have outsourced 80%+ of our Risk Advisory work, leaving onshore seniors with massive gaps in their experience. As a manager, I am stuck doing senior-level work because I typically have only one or zero local seniors or associates on my teams. The best leaders have already resigned because this model prevents actual management and mentoring. Also, it might take you 30+ years to become partner in Risk Advisory, if at all.
