Pros

1. The several Group companies / multiple Divisions provide opportunities for lateral movement and broad exposure, although the Business Units are not quite tightly knit. 2. Very talented and highly experienced professionals

Cons

1. Ethnicity seems to matter and is shown in subtle ways, especially for client facing roles. In the years that I was there, this was a factor that damped my personal career growth. 2. Very haphazard / complicated incentive program 3. There is very little awareness, if any at all, about the Top Executive Management / ELT folks from Japan, particularly in the US outside of the Global HQ in Japan. Somehow the ELT seems to be insulated and disconnected from the rest of the Organization.

Pros

I have worked with NTT DATA as a government IT and project management consultant since 2018, starting with Cognosante before the acquisition. My experience has been very positive. I have had the autonomy to focus on the success of my team and my client, while also having the support of a large, high-performing organization. There are real opportunities for growth, strong training resources, and leaders who genuinely care about employees, clients, and the communities they serve. I have also been promoted during my time here, which reflects the company’s commitment to recognizing and developing talent.

Cons

As with many large organizations, processes and systems and can sometimes take time to navigate, especially during periods of growth or transition. Continued focus on communication and simplifying internal processes would make the employee experience even stronger.
