Pros

There will be some fun filled events conducted by group called 'color ust' every month.

Cons

Typical malayali management. It's sad to say that, ust is a political development company not a software service firm. Thiruvananthapuram is the base of all politics. Most of the Managers are based out of Trivandram and hence they will prioritize only maliyalis from their location. Nothing will happen to your career growth if you are from other locations such as Kochi, Chennai etc. Promotions are given not based upon the good work/value adds. It's purely depends upon your closeness with your boss. Annual increment: Usually, the salary revisal used to happen in March -april month. In 2014, they had postponed into September. In 2015-16 it was postponed into October. And this year (2017), the management is not going to roll out increment for it's employees. At the same time they conducted an event called 'D3' where they had spent crores of rupees. Now they are saying that, increment will be given based upon your joining date and it's clear that, they simply avoided giving the increment for it's employee this year.

Pros

I have been associated with UST for almost 12 years, starting my journey as a Tester and currently serving as a Senior Project Manager. Looking back, the growth opportunities provided by the organization have been remarkable. One of the biggest strengths of UST is its people-first culture. The leadership team is approachable, supportive, and genuinely invested in employee success. Throughout my career, I have received continuous encouragement to take on new responsibilities, learn new skills, and move into leadership roles. The company places significant emphasis on employee well-being, work-life balance, and professional development. I have had opportunities to work across different domains, engage with global clients, and grow both technically and managerially. What makes UST special is the trust it places in its employees and the collaborative culture that exists across teams. It’s a place where dedication and performance are recognized, and individuals are given opportunities to shape their own career paths

Cons

As with any large organization, some processes could be streamlined for faster decision-making.
