Pros
- Lots of varied projects to work on. - Tasks can be varied and rewarding. - Pay is fine. - Flexible hours - Can work remotely or in the office. Fair bit of freedom.
Cons
- Required to meet +80% utilization (billable hours) and sometimes you're just not given enough hours to meet quota. - Constantly begging senior employees for more work when things are slow to try and bill time, which is humiliating. - Management is too overwhelmed to train or explain anything beyond a brief zoom call. No instructions, check-ins, or follow-up. - Project deadlines are sudden with short timeframes. Lots of 'phantom hours' to complete projects or working off the record entirely to complete tasks on time. - Little guidance or direction from management in general.
