Wal-Mart isn't a good place but it isn't a bad place to work. It is an OK place, while you find something better. - Associate Walmart Employee Review

Pros

It fit my school schedule. Many customers were happy with my work and they told me so, which made my work easier at times.

Cons

Bad pay! Being I speak three languages I was required to translate and help people who didn't know any English. I also helped out a lot in some other departments. I was a good worker and they knew it, but I never got a raise in the year I worked there. My pay was just above the minimum. Job is very repetitive and boring, even though some people might like that. I had to deal with bad, unpolite, angry customers.

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Cons

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
