Pros

Well lets see. I would say that having a schedule of 7-4 monday thru friday was a definite plus. Off weekends. No other retail company anywhere in the world gives any kind of manager off both weekend days. Job is pretty easy for the most part. You pretty much just stock all day. ( if thats what you like) you can make assistant manager pretty quickly where your base starting pay is 50000.

Cons

As with the pros this was a definite con for me. Allllllllllllllllllllllll you do is stock shelves all day long. You do no type of management at all. You learn nothing about retail management that can possibly help you in the future. Its really a waste of time, and your lucky to get 13 bucks an hour, whick today isnt much. Yeah you can make assistant manager pretty quick and make a huge leap in pay, but once you make that leap, your social life is does not exist.

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Cons

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
