Pros

At the store level, there is a great family feel. Discount is nice Hard work does get rewarded LEading edge of retail Easy to change jobs if you get bored Profit sharing

Cons

You're lucky if you see your store manager once a week Co-managers act as if they are god Ridiculous chain of command-you cannot go to the store manager, co-manager, or even assistant manager if you aren't a supervisor. You HAVE to follow the chain. Complain to your supervisor and nothing gets done? good luck getting someone to talk to you. Management does not care. Feel lucky if you get 2 or 3 that are nice. Too many chiefs, not enough indians. TLE gets treated like GARBAGE, even though they make up almost 30% of sales, and in a good store quite a bit more glass ceiling. work hard, you will get promoted to supervisor eventually if you posess the attitude. That's it. Good luck getting promoted further.

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Cons

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
