Pros

* Awesome benefits when they kick in (after 6 months) * HR was excellent and more than willing to help out any way that they could. * Managers were fair. * SAFETY FIRST!!!

Cons

* Incredible turnover. Our station was 125% and according to our HR lady this number was one of the lowest throughout the company * Pay was horrible, I started at $9.25. They offer a 25 cent increase after 30 days. * They should call it FedEx GRIND because it's all physical ALL the time. 4 hours of non-stop loading of bumpers, crates, tires, food storage, bicycles, crates of medical equipment by yourself. I am now working for FedEx Express (I know, it's a completely different division with different rules even though it's the "same" company) and it is FANTASTIC! Higher pay, benefits kick in after 30-90 days, a fraction of the grunt work that I experienced at FedEx Ground. People at the FedEx EXPRESS hub have been there 8-20 years which should give you an idea of the difference in cultures.

Pros

Money was good for what you were doing. You get a raise for just staying for longer than a month. Job is very easy mentally, you just put boxes on a belt. Your work days never changed, so you always knew your schedule. Management were lenient when asking for days off.

Cons

Managers were nice one day, but very rude and disrespectful the next. Managers in a sense are slave drivers, meaning no matter how ahead of schedule or how hard you work, they wanted you to work harder. Managers get angry if you start to slow down slightly after lifting 50 Ib boxes straight for two hours. Overall just a lot of disrespect and lack of constructive motivation from managers. Aside from management, working there in winter is bitter cold. The job is also very repetitive.
