Pros

Great brand recognition. Mostly awesome people. Phenomenal employee sales/discounts. Ability to work remote. Casual attire (although some may go too far with this...)

Cons

Overloaded work schedules. No training. No upward mobility. Lack of recognition/retention for the best talent. Volatility in direction of company and forced "strategic" moves have caused even the most devout employee to question their long term employment with the company. Looking to move jobs to LA from Scottsdale within a year.

Pros

Before the Larry era, aka "Before Larry", we had a senior management team in place that actually cared about employee satisfaction and engagement. Post Larry - everything went downhill. His hiring of his incompetent cronies from Guitar Center, his insistence to expand already bloated product lines and finally, the coup d' gras - let's waste all this treasure and blood on an ill-fated public offering that was cancelled at the last minute! What a tool! Meanwhile jetting in and out of Scottsdale airport using his corporate jet paid for by Fender. Even though he has finally been jettisoned, the damage remains - awesome employees have fled - any long term valued employees have been laid-off - and Fender is now owned by an investment company. And worse, his cronies remain - like a bad cancer. Does this remind you of the CBS era? Well it should!

Cons

Extreme negative cultural decline when Larry joined 2010. Great long term talent fleeing! Great long term talent laid-off cuz they make too much money. Bad morale.. Larry and the Wreckage he Left. And his guys are still there! CBS is back!
