Pros

They do give healthy bonuses and good benefits but all that will go away across the next few years.

Cons

Disorganized, no empowerment of employees, belittling and controlling managers, don't trust skilled people they bring in to do their jobs, micro management, sweat shop.

Pros

Good training program. Large company with room for advancement, and areas for growth. Because Fidelity is privately held, the company is able to avoid the large scale layoffs common to its competitors during down markets. Strong benefits package: 10% annual profit share, and 7% 401k match.

Cons

Average pay is below market for many positions. Although billed as a meritocracy, promotions often go to those with tenure first. Very tall structural heirarchy, built around 'good old boys' network in Boston. Employees not given incentive, freedom, or resources to take ownership or creative stake in company.
