Corrosive management culture

Pros

If not Taiwanese, Chinese or a Mandarin speaker, not respected. Language used as a weapon to exclude people from having input. Takes advantage of H-1B visa programs to pay below market salaries. Most foreigners leave as soon as they get a green card. Management pays lip service to environmental and OSHA regulations. Bend and even ignore rules when they think they can get away with it. The boss can never be wrong, even if everyone else knows he/she is. Male-dominated management. Difficult for qualified women to receive due recognition. (This is a male making this comment.)

Cons

Taiwanese have a strong work ethic. Taiwanese are not managers are very friendly people. It's the management style that is corrosive.
