Pros
There's a lot to like about working at Gensler. First and foremost, the people are fantastic. Some of the brightest, most enthusiastic and ambitious people I've ever worked with. People here really believe in the firm and are motivated to do their best. It's an inspiring group to be a part of. Gensler is incredibly entrepreneurial, so people really can do a lot of exploring and pursue their interests here. And Gensler is also very well managed and run. I've worked for other large firms in the past, and it's like night and day. No firm I've ever experienced feels as stable and well run as Gensler.
Cons
Gensler isn't for everybody. Because the culture is so entrepreneurial and the leadership structure is relatively flat, there aren't a lot of guard rails. The most successful people here work hard to pave their own path. People who need a lot of hands-on oversight and who aren't strong self-starters may feel overwhelmed in this environment.
