Toxic Work Environment

Pros

Good benefits Focus on diversity (DEI) Extracurricular Activities Good Projects Impressive Office

Cons

Extremely toxic work environment. Micromanaging to its extreme. Often worked overtime without getting paid in contrary to firms policy. Inappropriate remarks and comments passed by managers. Management plays favoritism . The firm has a huge focus on DEI, YET discrimination exists within studios. The firms "values" are not practiced within the studios. There is no empathy what so ever. The work environment has a negative effect on mental and physical health. For someone who is looking for a healthy work environment - THIS ISN'T THE PLACE

Unprofessional

Pros

People with average skills can finish the work in 3-4 hours every day.

Cons

Gensler operates surprisingly unprofessionally despite of its big name. The hr and immigration team is extremely unprofessional and can’t even write official emails well without typo. Ironically, there’s someone from leadership team stated that the junior design team members are overeducated. Strong racism. No career development for talented young designers. The design that the leadership values is overly below standard compared to other big corporate firms.

Unfortunately, since you have not provided a location in which you worked, we cannot share your review with the leadership team who can gain the most from reading your review so it is being received as general feedback as opposed to tracing your experience to a specific office location.
