Compensation and benefits are among the best in the industry, especially once you factor in equity and refreshers. You work with very smart, driven engineers; code quality expectations are high. Strong internal tooling, documentation, and infra—most problems already have a scalable solution somewhere. Generally good work–life balance compared to other big tech, depending heavily on team. Brand name opens doors later in your career.

Cons

Impact can feel diluted. Projects are large, and individual contributions may take time to show results. Internal processes can be slow and bureaucratic; getting consensus often matters as much as technical merit. Performance reviews and promotion criteria can feel opaque and political, especially at mid to senior levels. Team experience varies widely - your day-to-day quality of life depends a lot on your manager and org. Frequent reorgs can derail long-term work.
