Google feels different to work for. It really cares about employees, about their progression and their needs. Plus, free lunches ;) Definitely happy I joined.
Cons
Moved to the bay area to work for Google, and it's cramped, our house is small and my commute long.
Good Compensation and Benefits. Most peers were a pleasure to work with.
Cons
Flexibility and openness have taken a nose dive as the company became larger and more compartmentalized.
No one wants you to work on "the world's most interesting problems" no matter what their employment ads say.
20% time has become a myth. No one wants you working on their projects, or on your own.
