Pros

Good infrastructure is a big plus. Way too many buildings and thus HCL is a big brand name in Noida as well as the industry.

Cons

Huge information asymmetry between the employees and the management. There was no sensitization by the management of the issues affecting the organization on an overall basis. Its a very pettish notion by the management that the normal IT employees are not adept to understand the global issues surrounding the company and industry. Policies made are very porous and very poorly concealed and it is very easy to make out the true intent of them.

Pros

Good Work culture in my team. If we are in development team, it is good place to work. The support from manager(s) is good. They are very keen in guiding the resource.

Cons

The biggest flaw is "Employees' First" Slogan. The leadership team always says Employee first, wherever they are communicating. But if we compare with competitors, the benefits that are provided to employees are more or less equal and in some cases lower. There is no meaning of saying Employees First. (During recession, HCL did layoff saying the reason "No project" for new joinee's and "Under performance" for the employees who completed more than one/ two years. After recession, attrition rate is increased, due to voluntary resignations. So, "Employee First" slogan is utter flap at HCL - similar to "India is Shining" slogan by BJP during 2004 elections.
