Cons

No salary increment for every year For most years employees gets 0% increment irrespective how they performed Although CEO gets increment every year and for year 2026 he got 71% hike which raised his salary 154 crores while mostly employee got the 0% hike. If you working in hcl or will be joining soon, don’t expect any increment but you will definitely get the 10-50% of decreased bonus in your pay every year.

Pros

Work-life balance — Many employees rate HCL relatively well for balance compared to other large Indian IT services firms. Glassdoor ratings are around 3.6–3.7/5 for work-life balance in several locations. Job stability and brand value — HCL is one of India’s largest IT companies with 220k+ employees and global operations across 60 countries, which helps for resume credibility and long-term employability. Good for freshers and early-career learning — Employees frequently mention exposure to enterprise clients, infrastructure, cloud, support, engineering, and multiple domains. Flexible/hybrid work in many teams — Some recent employee reviews mention hybrid flexibility

Cons

Lower compensation growth — Appraisals and hikes are often described as modest compared with product companies or even some competitors like Accenture or Cognizant. Project dependency — Your experience can vary heavily by manager, client, and business unit. Some teams are excellent; others are highly process-heavy. Bench and support-heavy roles — Freshers may end up in support/maintenance projects rather than modern development work. Slow promotions — Career progression can feel bureaucratic in large delivery organizations.

Pros

Working in the client’s office is nice, they have a great office. Employer pays for the WiFi (400 SEK max) every month.

Cons

Low fritidsbidrag (2500 SEK/yr), poor management, pay below market average. Don’t even provide merch to employees. Difficult to get approval for office material (such as headsets) or get bugdet for team activities or Christmas/Summer dinners. Do not really care about employee's happiness, and management does not embrace psychological safety.
