      Pros

      This company has a decent benefit package Navteq hires smart people The company continues to gain market share and engage in Interesting projects

      Cons

      While Navteq has hired some really smart people, they have also retained their share of lifers and clock watchers. Management is very top heavy.

      Pros

      Some great people to work with and one of the hottest segments in the global electronics market. Competition has been asleep and/or poorly funded. Pay and benefits are excellent.

      Cons

      HR Department is slow and disorganized. Hiring time can take up to 1 year. They have no employee development process to speak of. Quality of management is equivalent to start up business. The only sustainable market presence they have is the mapping side. They continue to miss the new growth opportunities in the market and are content to milk the mapping business. Management is "cliquish" and unseen in general.

      Overall, relatively typical work load. Culture is 'neutral' - not extreme in any particular way.

      Cons

      HR process (both external and especially internal) is very slow and occasionally unprofessional.
