      Too many smart people in charge

      Pros

      Salary paid is quite good. Collegues are very bright and mostly fun to work with. Loads of potential on an international playground, loads of partnering potential, loads of opportunity to play around with ideas and conceptualize and do research.

      Cons

      Might happen that the idea or product one has been working on for years will never hit any real customer. This happens also in other companies, problem at Here is, that for a software company, failing lasts too long time, conceptual phases far too long duration of time, decisions to drop an idea is discussed for years, or not really ever taken, although it probably should.

      This company is operated by fear-based leadership. Leadership and upper management do not reflect or consistently demonstrate company values. Senior Leadership are self-entitled and collectively manage employees through fear and manipulation. There is a high turnover rate at this company due to lack of professional development and training. Employees are expected to excel and work hard on behalf of department and team but are being paid below market value. There is a huge lack of trust amongst teams and leadership because employees fear of losing their job if they speak up or bring attention to things that can change for the betterment of the business. Senior Leadership and upper management lack emotional intelligence to inflict positive change and support for their teams. Can create ptsd due to a highly toxic work culture.

      * Engineers are asked too much. We act as devops, tech writers, product owners, etc * New ways of working requires your to be a full-stack engineer from backend to UI changes
