      Not a good place to work

      Pros

      The coworkers are the best part of HP. I worked there for 20 years and developed some great friendships.

      Cons

      The management (esp exec) has lost most respect from the workers. The management has made horrific decisions since the days of Carly Fiorina and have been staying with the company. The worker bees are laid off and the bad managers take the high level technical jobs. Hence, there is very little creativity/innovation at HP in Corvallis. The really good people have left. I think that the site has gone from 10K employees to a little over 1 K - and this is due to the crappy exec and middle management.

      Low Morale, but easy

      - Easy - Not a lot is expected - Friendly people

      Cons

      - executives focused on short-term financial engineering - not challenging - high turn-over in the management ranks - low morale - constant cost cutting and lay-offs - the quality of the people is mixed - a lot of people not trying to rock the ship - pay is low compared to industry (but it is easy)

      Pros

      I have worked at HP for 17 years. I've had 11 different jobs, and have seen a lot. This is a place that truly values people, customers, and it's broader mission to the world across diversity, environmental responsibility, and many other areas.

      Cons

      Tech moves fast. HP Inc. does as well, so hold onto your seat.
