Pros

It is sti.ll a large company with more than $50 B annual revenues. So it will not die over night. They do want to hire young college graduates

Cons

continuous shrinking revenues, rounds and rounds of layoff. shrinking market (PC and Printer). No prospect for mid level professionals. They want to get rid of old people.

Pros

A steady paycheck, that is if you don't get laid off. It's easy to do average (or below average) work and collect a paycheck.

Cons

Environment, pay, benefits, technology, tools, resources, schedule. There are plenty of better places to work which will pay you more and let you work in a better environment.

Pros

HP Inc. gives employees the freedom to direct where their careers take them.

Cons

Benefits have been eroding over the last couple decades (ie. retirement: pension -> 6% 401k match -> 4% 401k match; medical insurance: higher rates, higher deductibles; no off cycle salary increases for promotions). HP has been seeing higher turn over rates, both voluntary and through work force reduction, and there is more opportunities to be promoted, but with out compensation of the additional responsibilities and increased job scope.
