Hi and thank you for your feedback! I'm happy to see that you appreciate our talented employees! Regarding the cons you listed here, I'd like to mention a few things: bonuses are dependent on the business results, since we all contribute to and are responsible for them, regardless of our job level; we do provide training and learning opportunities in different areas, so that you acquire and develop the skills you need for your growth or for any future jobs; the leadership team presents constantly updates on our strategy and our goals. If you need more direction or more details about team or individual goals, I suggest you reach out to your manager for clarification. Hope this helps. ~ Madalina Antohe, Employer brand and digital media lead

Pros

The company has a legendary history, and the core values of the founders still linger. The quality of the people is what makes working here so worthwhile. Folks here value teamwork and try to work through issues.

Cons

Jobs are being cut in the US and moved overseas. This is not new, but the opportunities in to advance a career are few. The opportunity to have work/life balance is lost, and compensation is mediocre.

Hi and thank you for the review! I'm happy to see that you appreciate our values and employees. We do have fantastic colleagues! To your point about career advancement, I'm sorry to hear that you don't think there are opportunities, and do not think this is the experience for the majority of our employees. We are striving to offer opportunities for growth and advancement to our best employees, and this will continue to be one of our priorities. ~ Madalina Antohe, Employer branding and digital media lead

Pros

- secure employment as compared to other jobs in Spain - well paid as compared to Spanish companies (mediocre compared to international companies) - getting to know many many new people (especially as part of the Graduate Program) - own PC (sometimes cell phone) - chance to work from home from time to time (depending on position) - many recreational facilities on site + loads of volunteering programs - looks excellent on the resume - international environment - great place to network - great place to start a career and try different departments (marketing, finance, SC etc.) - good work-life-balance (especially for Spain) - great place to work if you are in R&D

Cons

- super bureaucratical; (read - 50% of work time will be jumping bureaucratic hurdles, sending emails to clear up problems that should not even exist) - ZERO support from HR in most things you will need - career development non existent -> mainly depends on your own contacts and luck as to when certain positions are open -> also means that there is no straight career path (finance, marketing, supply chain management might all be part of the deal) - very narrow job description - work is usually very repetitive - office (depending on which building you are in) is not nice (plenty of problems with air condition, freezing cold meeting rooms, internet etc.) - no real goals from management (different event, same speech everytime "we are the best but we have to be better, provide more service, do the best for our customers) -> in the end it is about "using our market position to make customers pay premium (read unjustifyable) prices", save costs (read freeze travel and cut jobs and screw over employees in new positions) - most jobs communicate a lot of firm specific skills, nothing you could transfer to other companies (on average there is one interesting job out of every 20 or so)

Hello and thank you for your review! I’m glad to hear you appreciate our work environment, the different programs we have on site, and our employees! I am sorry to hear your opinion about HR support, and that we do not have career opportunities. We do have programs in place to make sure we recognize our best employees, and that we’re providing options to advance in their careers. We also have a lot of training opportunities that provide employees the chance to build or develop transferable skills, that they can use in their current and also future jobs. I am sorry to hear about your experience, and we will take the necessary steps to make sure we provide more visibility into these programs, and ensure our employees are taking full advantage of them. ~ Madalina Antohe, Employer branding & digital media leader
