Pros

Excellent General and Front Desk/Assistant Manager David Gerkman and Kyle Byrd

Cons

Main complaint is with regard to the position and the nature of third-shift work itself: Working during nights and sleeping during the day literally makes you feel ill, unable to eat, unable to feel rested (even after sleeping eight hours). In the winter months, I would not see the sun for weeks at a time, sometimes months. Studies have proven beyond any doubt that shift work leads to increased risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, obesity, gastrointestinal problems, depression and even cancer. Your social life will suffer. Your relationships will suffer. Your health, both mental and physical, will suffer. Unless you are a very unique individual, I'd say its about as healthy as working in a coal mine. It's not worth doing for next-to-minimum-wage. Those who work hard all year can earn a raise that is on-par with the inflation rate - this job is a dead end and should be thought of as such. Other than that, its very awkward and demeaning to be forced to wear a full suit while you're making minimum wage. They provide one or two shirts and a single jacket and expect you to wear them 5 days a week. Sales department gets preferential treatment as they are viewed as the ones bringing in the big bucks There are mandatory all staff meetings in the middle of the time in which I'd normally be sleeping to listen to information that could have been more effectively communicated through email. Work could be simplified or automated, but there is little incentive to do work above and beyond what is required because you make next to nothing. Most guests are great, but as the manager on duty from 1:00am-4:00 am you deal either with people that are intoxicated or angry for having been woken up by intoxicated people. Getting groups of intoxicated people to be quiet while you're the only one on duty is difficult and unpleasant. You never really feel connected to your workplace or coworkers, its as if you are a ghost.

Pros

Got to meet new people every day. Good hotel discounts.

Cons

There is absolutely no communication between management and staff. Assistant Management was actually verbally abusive on multiple occasions and nothing was done when reported. Also spread rumors about employees and was a flat out liar all the time. Never had a fully staffed restaurant on busy days. Consistently was missing money out of paychecks.
